I started my chemotherapy case study on 10th March 2008. This is my 3rd follow-up for the same. For the people who are new here, this case study is to show how to make money online in long term. The aim of the website is to make $1000/month at the end of one year.
Last update for this case study was on 31st May where I discussed the stats for the month of May 2008. In this case study I will discuss how the site did in the month of June.
Here are the details:
URL: e Chemotherapy
Final Goal: Making $1000/month after one year
Time Already Over: 115 days (4 months)
Money invested till now: $193.98 ($53.98 till last update + $40 for link building this month)
Unique visitors in last 30 days (June): 1788 (59% increase from previous month)
Total page views in last 30 days (June): 6388 (56% increase from previous month)
Number of pages listed by Google: 6388 (27 for last month)
More new pages added in this period: 3
Revenue in last 30 days: Total: $46.58. ($36.82 is from Adsense and $9.76 from Kontera) (53% increase from previous month)
Website achieved PR3 (I am surprised how did that happen)
Total budget available as of now: $376.38 (last month) - $40.00 (used this month) + $46.58 (earned this month) = $382.96
Bum Marketing: 3 articles
Now I think the site is 4 months old, so I can push in marketing it. I plan to spend around $150 to $200 this month in advertising/marketing.
Some exponential calculations:
If I am able to increase my traffic and earnings 50% each month, what do you think where I will be after 8 months (i.e. at the end of 12th month for case study?) Here is the little math:
$46.58 * (1 + 0.50)8 = $1193.8
So, now my aim would be to increase traffic and earnings by 50% each month. For some months, it would do better for others it will not reach that point. But that is what I aim would be. If I reach 50% each month, I would be earning $1000+ after 12 months. Also, if I see that I am lagging behind I always have an option to add one more revenue stream in terms of TNX or Text Link Ads or BackLinks based programs.
